HENRIQUE HERMES:
HEAVENLY

JUNE 5-8 2025
LOS ANGELES, CA

ABOUT THE EXHIBITIONHeavenly features a selection of works that explore Hermes’ consciousness through playful cartoon imagery and satirical text. While each piece tells its own story, together they show his resistance to complexity and his desire to find simplicity in a chaotic world. Viewers are left to interpret what’s truly going on beneath the surface, as the meaning is often hidden behind humor and distortion.

Henrique Hermes (b. 1994) is a Portuguese artist from Porto, Portugal. Hermes is currently based in Caldas de Rainha, Portugal, where he creates his often unpredictable yet deeply intentional paintings. His work consistently utilizes a mixed-media approach, combining airbrush, acrylic, and oil paint. Hermes has been featured in a group exhibition at Gallerie Ground in Brooklyn, New York, as well as in two solo shows: Raro in Genoa, Italy, and Galeria Diferença in Lisbon, Portugal. Heavenly marks Hermes’ first solo exhibition in the United States.
